The action is data-driven like every other: the burner's visual lists pause in its ActionProvider, so any converter can adopt it without new code.

  • One tap, no menu - pause is the burner's primary action, so the context button toggles it directly.
  • The button shows what it will DO, not what the building is: two bars while running, a play triangle while stopped.
  • The building goes visibly cold - fire out, output ports dark. A paused building that looked identical to a running one would be a setting to remember rather than see.
  • Part-finished units survive. Conversion progress is left where it was rather than reset, so switching off and on again does not throw away the fraction it had already worked through.

Covered by test_gas_burner_pause: converts while running, converts nothing and consumes no gas while paused, converts again on resume, and the icon reports the action rather than the state.
