Done in 8412280, same cause as #118: the editor reads raw touches and nothing was turning clicks into them.

Left click grabs and drags a slot, and the wheel replaces the pinch - a mouse has no second finger, and zoom is the other half of what the panel does. Wrappers over the same logic the touch path uses.
